Sarcoidosis Answers for Physicians, Nurses and Patients

Here at SarcInfo, between 2002 and 2004, we identified the cause of Sarcoidosis, and successfully trialled a curative antimicrobial therapy. During 2005 and 2006 the US FDA designated the antibiotics Clindamycin and Minocycline as Orphan Products in the treatment of Sarcoidosis, and studies are ongoing elsewhere.

 Cardiac Sarcoid

Hi there! I would like to hear from others who have cardiac sarcoid. I was diagnosed with pulmonary and cardiac sarc in 1997. I was on high doses of steroids, a horrible drug but I now know was necessary. I have been off prednisone since 1999. But I do have a pacemaker. I get concerned that because of the cardiac involvement I should maybe be on a low dose today. There seems to be very little info out there on cardiac sarc. If anyone can direct me to info sites I would greatly appreciate it. I also would like to find a doctor in Canada who deals with this disease. I get very frustrated with the some of the doctors I have seen over the last few years. I am sure many of you can relate to this.

I have sarcoidosis of the lungs. I want to know what are the symtoms of sarcoidosis of the heart. I have always been afraid that the sarcoid will sooner or later affect my heart.
