Sarcoidosis Answers for Physicians, Nurses and Patients

Here at SarcInfo, between 2002 and 2004, we identified the cause of Sarcoidosis, and successfully trialled a curative antimicrobial therapy. During 2005 and 2006 the US FDA designated the antibiotics Clindamycin and Minocycline as Orphan Products in the treatment of Sarcoidosis, and studies are ongoing elsewhere.

Saw this on another sarcoid site and gave me a chuckle:

Timeline of Herbal Medications:

2000 B.C. - "Here, eat this root."

1000 A.D. - "That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer."

1850 A.D. - "That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion."

1940 A.D. - "That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill."

1985 A.D. - "That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic."

2000 A.D. - "That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root."

Seriously though, about 15 years ago I travelled several times to Japan. I noticed that every electrical store sold "electronic acupuncture" units from major manufacturers such as Panasonic and Omron. But I tried in vain to get any US doctor to accept that these things were the only way I could control my migraine pain. It's a 'not invented here' attitude, I think. A lack of receptiveness for new ideas. After a few years you could buy them in UK pharmacies, but they still haven't entered the mainstream in the US. Yet in Japan it is accepted as normal that secretaries sit at their desks with aches and pains being numbed by these things... It's a strange world we live in...
